Writing

Oh, editing. Never change.

We are definitely in the home stretch with this book.

My husband is finishing his final proof-read and I think once that’s done the manuscript will be very clean. My big mistake was waiting until such a late stage to let him help me!

I just read one his notes a few minutes ago and I’m cracking up. It just said “so many mentions of water!”

The offending paragraph reads:
“She wasn’t there yet, so he stooped near the edge of the water, letting his hands fill up with water and drinking deeply. It felt so good, every drop the most delicious water he had ever tasted after such a long time spent thirsty. He could scarcely believe that the water he’d brought in his waterskins had ever been so pure or so clean.”

Was I literally falling asleep while writing this? LOL

Who said editing can’t be fun? My mistakes are hilarious.

I’m hoping for some actual May-like weather this week – it’s been windy and freezing here in Toronto and I’m eager to be free of jackets and hats. But my daughter looks so cute in hers, so I can deal with it. 😉

The release is near, my friends. I’m so excited.
